My name is Misa Yoshino. I am Japanese and I was born in Hida Takayama.
I was influenced by my mother’s passion for Japanese art.
I studied art and restoration of Japanese paper artworks in Kyoto.
I am an artist and art restorer and I work with my mother as manager of Gallery Mitsuido.
Pipon
The first time I had the urge to draw, I was very young, around four or five years old. I remember that when my mother scolded me, I would vent my feelings by drawing, sometimes even on the walls!
When I draw Pipon, I often don’t follow any specific patterns. I draw what I feel, the emotions and impressions of my everyday life. More than a painting or a drawing, I consider Pipon as a lifelong companion who has been with me since I was a child.
